New residential areas
The President of the Republic visited the Portalegre Holy Almshouse, where he presided at the inaugural act of new equipment comprising a residential structure for aged people and a residential home to provide aid to the handicapped.
After being welcomed by the Warden of the Holy Almshouse, Dr. José Serrote, President Cavaco Silva addresses a few words with reference to the activity of social solidarity institutions, after which he made a tour of the new facilities.
